Apartment or house?
We can offer you both apartments and houses for low prices on Koh Tao. The prices are low because you are buying directly from the owner. Several apartments and houses have already been sold to europeans (mostly Swedes). Please have a look below for what you are interested in.
Apartments
We have two apartment buildings on Koh Tao. For simplicity we call the buildings A and B. Building A is almost completely sold out while B has just recently been opened up on the market. All the apartments in apartment building A and apartment building B are sold furnished. This is because planning and transporting furnish to the island is often both complicated and expensive. The apartments are all sold in Thailand Baht (THB) and the prices listed in other currencies may differ depending on courses. Please use a current course to get a better conversion.

Apartment building A was the first building and the construction started in late 2010. The building will be completed within a couple of months from now. All the apartments have an ocean view. The apartments have been popular and the only four remaining apartments are on the first floor. Price for an apartment on the first floor is 1 199 999 THB (~ 28575.00 EUR or ~39577.00 USD)

The construction started in july 2011 and is expected to finish in summer of 2012. The house will store 13 apartments spanning three floors. Most apartments will have a beautiful view over Koh Nang Yuan. 11 of the 13 apartments will be 36 m² large with a balcony of 18 m² (total 54 m²). The apartments will have a bedroom, kitchen, livingroom and a bathroom with a shower. If you require more space two larger 72 m² apartments will be available with a balcony of at least 36 m²(!). The design of these larger apartments will largely be up to you. All floors in apartment building B will be placed higher than the corresponding floor in apartment building A. The price for the first floor is 1 299 999 THB (~ 30956.00 EUR or ~42875.00 USD), 1 399 999 THB (~ 33338.00 EUR or ~46173.00 USD) for the second floor and 1 499 999 THB (~ 35719.00 EUR or ~49471.00 USD) for the third floor.

We can offer you 8 build-ready plots on Koh Tao. The plots are located on an elevation in Mae Haad and the view will be absolutely amazing. Each plots is 1600 m² (1 rai) and the price for one plot is 2 000 000 THB (~ 47625.00 EUR or ~65962.00 USD)

The design of your house is up to you. To use as guidelines you may know that a two story house of about 150-160 m² costs around 3 500 000 THB (~ 83345.00 EUR or ~115433.00 USD) to build. Including the price of the plot the price is around 5 500 000 THB (~ 130971.00 EUR or ~181395.00 USD). You are of course welcome to send in your own plans and design your own house. If you need inspiration you can visit Koh Tao and look at the beautiful houses already built. The price above should be emphasized to be guidelines. Preparation of a garden along with some nice flowers and such is included in the price.

If a plot is sold the construction is guaranteed to start within 6 months. Tim, the owner of the plots, is also in charge of the construction. He has built many houses for westerners and is used to our ways. Legal help is available to help with the paper work. You are of course welcome to bring your own lawyer.
The cost for water is around 300 THB (~7 EUR or ~10USD) for 1000 liters. The water is transported by pipes and measured by a water meter. The cost of electricity is around 10 THB/kWh (~0.25 EUR/kWh or ~0.33 USD/kWh)
